Greetings from the President
Daiei Trading was founded in Queens, New York in 1970 as a supplier to Japanese restaurants.
Since then, we have expanded our bases to Chicago, Maryland, Dallas, and have continued to grow together with our business partners for more than half a century.
In 2013, “Washoku” was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Since then, the attention to Japanese food has significantly increased. Thanks to your support, our private brand “Kagayaki Rice” is used not only in the United States but also in restaurants and private individuals overseas.
In order to further spread Japan’s wonderful food culture, our company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kamei Corporation (listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime) in 2021.
With continued contribution to our society through food products, we will continue to be close to our customers with an ” Altruistic Spirit ” and move forward by standing always with you ALL.
